Exercise Can Offset The Harms Of Alcohol

People who drink alcohol may be able to offset some of the extra risks of alcohol induced disease and death if they meet the recommended levels of exercise, according to a study.

UK guidelines say that men and women should drink no more than 14 units a week – the equivalent of 6 medium glasses of wine or 6 pints of standard-strength beer – the research suggests that two-and-a-half hours of physical activity could mitigate some of the harm associated with drinking, even at higher consumption levels.
