Researchers at Purdue University, in West Lafayette, have concluded that protein does make people feel fuller more quickly. It is thought that consuming protein causes the release of the hormone responsible for satiety, leading to the feeling of fullness. Whilst this may be a contributing factor to weight loss, it is not considered to be a magic bullet.
