Connecting quickly and efficiently with your healthcare provider is another simple step to taking control of your health.

Using Medelinked you can research, locate, engage, introduce and automatically connect you, your family members and carers with healthcare providers.  This means you can build your own personal healthcare network from existing contacts, trusted professionals listed in NHS Choices and other healthcare provider databases.

Once connected, you can arrange face-to-face consultations or receive health advice in real time and chat by secure email, voice, text, video and instant messaging, as well as accessing telemedecine and other remote services.

Having your support network know your numbers is a key step to managing and improving your health. By connecting with your healthcare provider you can choose to share Medelinked Snapshots of your health data.

These Snapshots can help your doctor improve the quality of your consultations, understanding your problem and your numbers, before you meet as well as preventing unnecessary face-to-face appointments that could be better dealt with remotely.

Connecting with your healthcare provider also allows you to choose to have them alerted when you exceed upper or lower limits on your health readings including weight, BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose levels.

Adding health providers to your Medelinked account is simple

  1. Click on the ‘Find A Doctor’ button on your Medelinked Home page.

  2. Click on the ‘Find A Provider’ button and enter in your healthcare provider’s details.

  3. Once you have added your healthcare provider to your Medelinked account, they will receive a ‘Health Partner Request’. After they have accepted this request you can share records and private messages in a secure way.
