The Junk in Junk Foods

A study from the University of Leicester has suggested that processed foods that are high in ‘PAMPs’ – pathogen-associated molecular patterns – may trigger inflammation inside the body.

The inflammation caused by ‘PAMPs’  may increase the risk of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
