More Than Meets The Eye? Interpreting Health Research

Everyday hundreds of health articles are generated by the media informing us of what we should and shouldn’t be eating, drinking or doing and how this is helping or hindering our health.

Headlines are designed to draw our attention to the article and therefore often miss out vital pieces of information. This can lead to confusion and a misled public.

In order to gain an accurate message on a piece, it is always important to analyse the article to see what it says about the research it is reporting on.

Dr Alicia White at Bazian has developed a series of questions to help you figure out which articles to take on board and which to discard:
